OxMET description
The OxMET app was created by the Translational Neuropsychology Research Group at the University of Oxford. It is a cognitive screening tool that assesses executive dysfunction using a shopping scenario. The app is suitable for adults who have had a stroke more than 6 months ago or less than 3 months ago. It is not for self-assessment, but rather for health professionals to use. The test is automatically scored and compared to age-adjusted norms. After completing the test, a visual snapshot report is generated and can be stored on the device. The app has two user activations, one for standard users and one for research users. The standard version allows for local storage of assessments and reports, while the research version allows for data uploading to secure cloud storage. The app is currently being researched further for use in specific clinical groups and is not a medical device.
